我院讲座教授、英国皇家科学院院士、格拉斯哥大学刘富友教授自2013年12月加盟我院以来，积极参与我院免疫学的人才培养和科研工作，多次开设专题讲座，指导研究生及青年教师开展课题研究工作；同时为学院本科生进行全英文授课，精心设计课程并介绍科研工作的乐趣，激发广大学生的科研兴趣。
刘院士不仅为学院师生传授了先进科学知识，拓宽了师生视野，并于近期分别在Immunity(IF:19.74)、Nat Commun(IF:10.74)、PNAS(IF:9.8)和PLoS Pathog(IF:8.05)等国际知名杂志上发表了6篇以我院为署名单位的研究论文，为拓展我院国际影响起了积极的助推作用。
